Long, but very good post Mike! Very interesting, and the pictures help reel you in.
I rode the Narita/Tokyo express while I was there, which I believe is similiar to the Shinkansen, but it was only a 45 min ride. They are fun, and sure beat a ride that is more than twice as long as a "regular" express train ride.
Any word on how Sparks is doing with his version of the weekend?
