Alright, finally got around to figuring out how to post pictures and posting my profile.

For those of you just joining us, here's a brief recap of the past several months (as seen on my other blog, which I have abandoned.)
At the beginning of the spring semester (about January of this year) I began to really look at the prospect of studying abroad in Japan. After looking over the options, I decided that Nihon Daigaku was the school for me.
As my fall grades were... not all they could have been, I waited until spring grades were posted to apply. Spring semester whizzed by and before I knew it I had sent my application in.
Then... the wait began... it took over a month to receive word back from anyone on my application status. In this time I moved home to Detroit for the summer to prepare for my trip. The waiting was pure torture, but, in the end I was accepted. It took most of another month for my university to forward my acceptance packet to me. (Actually they sent me a photocopy because they lost the original)
Once it arrived I booked my airline tickets (...on Northwest (sigh)).
Well, that about brings things up to speed. Some other fun things of note are:
-I have a fun summer job painting parking meters (pics to come)
-My looong time friend is also going to Japan
-Only 15 days until I fly out (assuming the Northwest strike doesn't louse that up)
-My usual tag line "Jaa Mata Ne" means "See ya' later"

Home sweet Detroit.
